/EINPresswire.com/ New healthy food section on Lifescript.com includes 2,000 healthy easy to make recipes and a guide to healthy eating.
Lifescript.com, a women’s health and wellness website headquartered in Mission Viejo, Calif., has just released a new Food section to help women improve their lives with family-friendly recipes, healthy eating guides, diet and fitness tools, and more.
“Women want healthier meal ideas, including gluten-free, low-carb, or diabetes-friendly options,” says Laurie Berger, Lifescript Editor-in-Chief. “Our Food section features recipes and nutritional facts for more than 15 serious dietary needs and health conditions.”
The new section includes 2,000 easy, healthy recipes, from appetizers and lunch-box snacks to dinner entrées and desserts. A Guide to Healthy Eating offers weight-loss tips and advice for incorporating vegetarian meals, gluten-free meals, and more. And a Recipe Finder tool allows users to search a recipe database by dietary need (high-fiber, weight-loss, heart-healthy and more), main ingredient, course, occasion, cuisine, and even cooking technique.
“Delicious, easy-to-prepare dishes for every health need is now at readers’ fingertips,” Berger says.
Weight loss is a key focus of Lifescript’s Food section, too. “Many of our readers want to lose weight in a safe, nutrition-filled way,” she says.
A new “Food Swap” tool helps women make better meal choices. (It shows, for instance, calorie count variances for different brands of bagels.) Another new tool, “Eat It/Burn It,” calculates how much exercise it takes to burn off our favorite treats.
“Healthy Food” is one of five sections on Lifescript’s rapidly growing health website, including “Health” (conditions), “Diet and Fitness,” “Life” and “Soul.” A Parenting section is scheduled for later in 2012.
