Take out your Headphones, Prevent a Pedestrian Accident

Pedestrian accidents are rising because people are becoming distracted, and cannot hear hazards when headphones are blaring in their ears.

I enjoy turning up my iPod while going for a walk, but I always try to keep the volume at a reasonable level or take one earphone out. It’s true, people cannot hear hazards when they have their favorite music playing in their ears at a loud level. While it would be unfair to ban this activity, or make it illegal, people should take one ear phone out to help hear the sounds around them while still listening to music.
