While I commend this mother for taking a stand to make public areas safer, it is also unrealistic. Beyond McDonald’s, dangerous bacteria is present in almost every public place — from shopping carts, gas pumps, door handles to public restrooms. Is she going to start crusading to eliminate bacteria everywhere? It’s a parents responsibility to make sure their child washes their hands and take necessary precautions to protect themselves.
