New Law Bans Teens From Indoor Tanning in California

A new California law bans 14-year-olds from indoor tanning and requires parental permission for 15 to 17-year-olds.

I think this new law is actually a good thing. Teens under 14 do not need to be in tanning salons for any reason, it’s just reckless for parents to allow their teens to begin indoor tanning that young. Requiring parental permission for 15 to 17-year-olds is also a positive thing. Tanning is an elective activity and should be monitored by their parents when they are that young. I hope this law will become a trend across the U.S.
