Triest Agency Insurance in Growing Again!

09/20/2011 // Charleston, SC, United States // triest01 // Larry Freudenberg

Triest Agency Insurance in Charleston, South Carolina has added new insurance markets to our existing menu of services. As the top insurance agency in the Charleston area, Triest Agency Insurance has added Chartis and ACE Private Risk for high value homes; Travelers for auto insurance, Progressive for auto insurance and AARP Hartford for auto insurance. “Having hundreds of solutions for our clients needs for auto, home, business and life insurance keeps us at the top of all agencies in the area and the most competitive anywhere” , said Larry Freudenberg, the President of Triest Agency Insurance. Insuring homes of $300,000, $500,000, $1 million and more demands that the agency offer the best of the best. The agency is located on the Atlantic Coast which is vulnerable to hurricanes and tropical storms. This hurricane season has been extremely busy with Hurricane Irene passing close to Charleston. Triest insures many beach homes and other high value homes within a few miles of the Atlantic Ocean. This calls for brokering insurance packages for some of these homes through special markets like Lloyds of London and providing the client’s auto insurance with Progressive Insurance.

In September the agency added three new employees to work with existing clients on their auto insurance and home insurance. Melissa Sgroi, Helen McNally and Joy St. Martin were hired by the agency because each has over fifteen years of experience and the knowledge required to serve the highly demanding clients the agency serves.

Boeing Corporation moved their plant from Washington State to Charleston, SC to build their first new airliner in a decade, the 787 Dreamliner. The first order for a Dreamliner is being completed this week. Over three thousand new jobs are being created directly by Boeing and many more thousands will be created by businesses that work for or with Boeing. According to Freudenberg, “Boeing is a tremendous shot in the arm for our local economy. With unemployment running over 9% nationwide, Charleston’s economy remains strong because of Boeing and the strong tourism industry”.

Establshed in 1903 by Montague Triest, the agency is one of the oldest small businesses in the country. The agency is owned by Mr. Triest’s great grandson, Larry W. Freudenberg who has been with the agency since 1987. “When I came to the agency we had limited carriers for auto insurance but that has changed dramatically for the better over the years” said Freudenberg. Triest Agency Insurance is old but progressive and always focused on the needs of our clients first!
