Study: Facebook, Twitter Linked to Teen Drug Use

A new study says teens who use social media sites are more likely to drink, smoke marijuana and try drugs.

I don’t necessarily believe this study is accurate. The reason they may be seeing so much drinking and partying is because there wasn’t an avenue to publish the weekend’s party pictures publicly prior to Facebook and Twitter. Social media is a relativity new thing, which would explain why they are now seeing evidence of drinking and drugs linked to these sites. Almost all teens experiment, regardless if they are on social media sites or not.
