New York Smoking Ban: Not One Ticket Issued on First Day

Not a single ticket written for smoking in city parks, pedestrian plazas or beaches on the first day of the smoking ban taking effect.

05/24/2011 // WPB, FL, USA // Personal Injury Lawyers News // Nicole Howley

I’m all for banning smoking in indoor places or close quarters, but banning smoking in parks and at beaches is taking it a little too far. I don’t doubt that police officers didn’t write any tickets, and I would be furious if they did. Police have bigger problems than writing measly smoking tickets. It’s time that our police officers tackle the bad guys, instead of going after people who just want to smoke a cigarette.
