Study: Patients are not being told they’re overweight by their doctor

“Many people who are overweight and obese either don’t realize it or are in denial — and too few doctors are setting them straight…One-third of the obese participants and percent of overweight participants had never been told by a doctor that they were overweight,” a study in the Archives of Internal Medicine stated. If doctors had a “weight talk” with their overweight and obese patients, I bet the obseity epidemic could be helped. Many people just don’t believe they are really that fat.
