A rising number of Brits are turning to cosmetic surgery in the run up to the Christmas party season, new figures have revealed.
A staggering 45% increase in enquiries was recorded by Transform Cosmetic Surgery Group, the UK’s largest cosmetic surgery provider, during November – and both men and women are turning to cosmetic surgery to ensure they look their best during the busiest party season of the year.
Breast augmentation procedures already account for 65% of business at Transform. However, enquiries about these types of procedures soared by a huge massive 55% during November.
Non-surgical procedures are also proving popular with those gearing up for their office Christmas parties – Transform saw a 67% rise in Botox enquiries, a 43% hike in non-surgical treatments like teeth whitening and recorded 32% more lip enhancement enquiries than in the previous month.
And it’s not just women who are eager to look their best during the festive period, as non-surgical procedures are also proving popular with the metrosexual section of society. For example, 41% of all Botox enquiries last month were from men.
Commenting on the figures, Shami Thomas, spokesperson for Transform, remarked: “Cosmetic surgery sees seasonal trends and our call centre staff have been inundated recently with pre-Christmas enquiries.
“As we approach Christmas, attention turns to the upcoming party season and naturally women (and men!) begin to look to improving their appearances to look their best.
“Following a surgical procedure – such as a breast enlargement – most patients feel the results begin to look their best after four to six weeks due to swelling and healing. Similarly many non-surgical procedures – such as Botox and lip enhancements look their best after the same amount of time. Therefore November is the perfect time for men and women to look into and book these treatments so they look their best during the Christmas party season.”
