KEY WEST, FL — The brand new 50-room luxury boutique hotel Silver Palms Inn, has opened in Old Town Key West, the latest venture by the Soni Family, veterans in the hotel industry on the island since 1983. A welcome presence, Silver Palms is a blend of elegant rooms with soothing tropical surroundings and an environmentally-conscious philosophy. Guestrooms include the Deluxe with island or pool view and one king or two queen beds, Junior Suite with one king or queen bed and a queen sleeper sofa and the Penthouse Suite with one king bed and a queen sleeper sofa. Double pillow-top mattresses, 310 thread count sheets, hypoallergenic pillows and duvets, Internet-wired desks, Wi-Fi, lounge chairs and 40-inch flat screen LCD televisions are standard amenities in all rooms.
Complimentary services include daily breakfast, Wi-Fi, parking and fitness room and unlike many other properties on the island, Silver Palms has no resort fees.
Soni is also incorporating green initiatives throughout the property. The rooms feature automated thermostats and lights controlled by room key installation, energy-efficient LCD televisions, walls with environmentally friendly insulation to keep rooms cool, low-flow shower heads and toilets as well as reclaimed water use in the toilets. The property’s irrigation system also uses reclaimed water, low-wattage, LED rope and fiber optic lighting, solar water heating and propane instant heaters and commercial grade washers designed for ultimate water flow.

The brand-new Silver Palms Inn is located on the same site as the now demolished mom and pop El Rancho Motel which was also owned by the Soni family.
