NovaStor expands backup support for VMware
Agoura Hills / (CA) USA, Hamburg / Germany, Zug / Switzerland, September 20, 2010 – NovaStor, a pioneer in data protection, announced today that the company has obtained the status of VMware Technology Appliance Partner. The partnership with VMware serves to optimize the protection of virtual systems and virtual environments with the complete range of NovaBACKUP products.
Virtualization lowers IT-costs and enables a more efficient use of resources. Administering virtualization, however, differs from traditional IT-management. The challenge also applies to backup software. Protecting virtual systems requires different functions and strategies than backing up data from a physical system.
NovaStor plans to use the partnership with WMware to further exploit the potential of its data protection software products for protecting virtual environments running VMware. Optimizations affect NovaStor’s complete product range, from backup for single workstations and servers in small to medium businesses to solutions for Internet Service Providers and heterogeneous IT-environments in large corporations.
