Zaptunes (http://www.ZapTunes.com) is a new startup that has taken the music industry by a storm. Zaptunes offers unlimited music downloads for a fixed monthly fee. ZapTunes is the first, and till now the only service that’s provides unlimited music downloads.
Today, the company announced that it has added about 1 million songs to its catalog of existing 8 million songs. Now the subscribers can download more free music.
Launched just last week, ZapTunes already has about 10,000 subscribers who are enjoying free music downloads. The unlimited music download service is fast spreading its roots in the online music industry. The service will provide a major competition to iTunes, where one has to pay for each song they download and can play it only on an Apple device. In contrast, ZapTunes members can download unlimited songs, all in MP3 format and play them on any device.
“Who would not like to download free music? I am going to stop paying for music, and start downloading unlimited music from today,” responded a music lover when told about ZapTunes. A lot of people who download free mp3 songs illegally (using P2P or torrents) and others who enjoy unlimited streaming of music using services like MOG, Spotify, LastFm, Rhapsody or Pandora are expected to switch to ZapTunes in the coming months.
