Los Angeles, CA – September 1, 2010 — The unconference concept comes to the working voiceover professional September 11-12, 2010 in Portland, Oregon USA. FaffCon, facilitated by Los Angeles-based voice actor Amy Snively, is a two-day ‘Open Space-style unconference with a participant-driven agenda. To keep the content relevant, registration is open exclusively to working VO pros (full or part time). Registration is $175, which includes two full days of topic sessions and lunch both days. The name FaffCon comes from the word faff, which is UK slang for goofing off. General consensus from typical conference-goers is that the favorite part of a conference–where you have the most fun, learn the best tips, get the best leads, and make the strongest connections–is when everyone is just “faffing about.”
“We wanted to make a conference that was all just the best stuff,” said Ms. Snively. “You know all the meaningful encouragement, startling epiphanies, and blinding flashes of genius you get when you’re hanging around with your brightest and most creative friends? That’s the idea behind FaffCon.”
