Venture creates Cosalt Wind Energy subsidiary
July 27, 2010 — Cosalt, a provider of safety equipment for the marine, industrial and offshore markets, has signed an agreement with Danish wind energy industry service providers APRO to create Cosalt Wind Energy, a subsidiary of Cosalt Renewables that will specialize in offshore wind farm engineering and construction.
Recently, Cosalt set up a dedicated Renewable Energy division to supply safety inspection and testing services to the renewables sector, particularly offshore wind farms. APRO has, since 1998, created a core business of installing and servicing onshore and offshore wind turbines and has contracts with wind turbine manufacturers Vestas and Siemens.
Cosalt has 11 UK operational bases, many of which offer immediate access to the wind farms being built off the UK coastline.
