/EINPresswire.com / 19 May 2010. South African Reserve Bank Conference Venue Pretoria, South Africa

In line with international trends the 1st Annual Patient Recruitment Conference in Clinical Trials 2010 | KNOW YOUR PATIENTS is set for South Africa. This conference is presented in association with SACRA (South African Clinical Research Association) and is sponsored by Callquick and Clinical Trials SA.

Patient recruitment is critical to drug development in clinical trials. Often misunderstood and not carefully planned for, causing costly delays by being the leading bottleneck in the development pipeline. In order to optimise both recruitment and retention, we need to address these issues within the South African population; patients; health of the nation and clinical research context.

This one day inaugural conference will cover best practice aspects specific to patient recruitment in South Africa. We will focus amongst other topics on ethics, regulatory and legal implications. We are also proud to present international views on tools, tactics and tips. You will walk away knowing your patients better to increase patient recruitment and ensure success.
