April 14, 2010 – Ryanair, the budget airline that plans to create a pay-toilet system on some of its flights, says Boeing doesn’t want to swap out toilets for seats because of emergency evacuation concerns, the AP reports.
Michael O’Leary, Ryanair CEO, refutes this, saying that adding more seats in place of two toilets would not slow down emergency evacuations and that he hopes Boeing will change its stance on the proposal.
