Crystal House Expansion – Beauty is in the Eye of Every Beholder
Primitive African art commingled harmoniously with glittery crystal chandeliers and refined paintings
Downers Grove, IL – March 1, 2010 — “Not only has Chazerly Designs, Inc. relocated Crystal House, which has been up and down Main Street for at least a decade, but it has also transformed the downtown Downers area into a tourists’ attraction by providing an artful shopping experience never to be forgotten,” states Chaz Nieponski, co-owner of Chazerly Designs, Inc.
The ambience experienced at 5116 Main Street is that of a mini art museum. While the sign on the exterior says Crystal House, under the tin ceiling inside can be found: Glimpse into Africa – with rare collectable primitive African art pieces from Cameroon, Nigeria, Chad, Gabon, Congo, Mali and Benin. Tribal beds, Nok terra cotta sculptures, Sokoto bronze pieces, Punu masks and pygmy beds are only a fraction of the extensive collection you will discover there. It is the only primitive African art gallery with collectable pieces in the Western Suburbs. Crystal House – where gleaming etched crystal and blown glass is unsuspectingly juxtaposed against an old Chicago-style brick wall. In addition to engraving virtually anything from crystal to bricks, providing gifts for “those who have everything” and creating recognition awards, it is one of very few places in the country where crystal can be expertly repaired. Nieponski Gallery – showcases contemporary expressionistic and impressionistic paintings by Nieponski. Paintings are also available as signed limited edition prints either on museum quality cotton acid-free paper or canvas. Hand-crafted jewelry from various designers is also on display. Chazerly Designs – the parent company, for the galleries described above, designs and produces incomparable personalized products. Textured glass coasters in crystal racks, keepsake boxes with glass inserts and glass plaques mounted on crystal bases – all with images of your choosing – are but a few of the items produced in the workroom. Artist-approved limited edition prints from Nieponski’s paintings are made in the in-house workroom as well.
