Self-Published Books Get Royalty Hike on Amazon’s Kindle
January 22, 2010 /EIN PRESSWIRE/ A new royalty option will soon give self-published authors a higher royalty percentage of books sold on the Kindle publishing format, according to Amazon.
The new option gives self-published authors a 70% cut of an e-book’s sale for the Kindle device. Although the new royalty option comes with some conditions, Amazon touts that the royalty paid is significantly higher than royalties authors can receive from traditional publishing outfits.
With Apple set to release a tablet computer that doubles as an e-reader, the competition for the digital publishing space is heating up.
