Mount Pleasant, TX-A tragic two-vehicle crash ended the lives of three teenagers in northeast Texas. Renowned Dallas, Texas automobile accident lawyer, Amy K. Witherite, reports the teenagers lost control of their vehicle around 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 19, 2009, on Farm Road 2152 about five miles from Mount Pleasant, as reported by the Houston Chronicle.
The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) stated the teen’s vehicle, a Pontiac, was traveling northbound on the two-lane roadway, when the vehicle suddenly started to swerve back and forth, and then slid sideways into a Nissan. Upon impact, the Pontiac overturned and landed upside-down in a ditch alongside Farm Road 2152. The collision killed Timothy Earl Haskins Jr., 17; Cecil Earl Galloway, 19; and Markeevin Deon Eaton, 19, all of Mount Pleasant. All three teenagers were pronounced dead at the scene by responding emergency medical services (EMS) teams. The driver of the Nissan was uninjured in the wreck. The crash was reportedly so violent and horrendous that all three teens had to be cut out of their seatbelts so they could be removed from the wreckage. Police officials are currently investigating the fatal wreck to determine how it occurred. At this time it was not reported if any of the victims have obtained an attorney.
