A portion of Pioneer Linens’ profile reads:
“Pioneer Linens is a small TREASURE located in West Palm Beach, Florida. Walking into Pioneer Linens is like going back in time, where genuine service was a given and shopping was a pleasure. From their signature pink Venetian chandeliers and pink terrazzo floors, to the 1950’s drawing of a mother and daughter, Pioneer Linens is one South Florida tradition that has not changed in 97 years. This lovely linen store started out as a hardware business in 1912 by Max Greenberg, an Austrian immigrant. As the town grew, Greenberg added home furnishings. Pioneer Linens has endured hurricanes, the great depression, two world wars, and the exodus of other businesses from their downtown locations to the malls. In the early 70’s, Florida saw a housing boom. George Greenberg, Max’s son, recognized a growing market niche and turned Pioneer into a fine linen boutique, unsurpassed by none. The linens are sublime, the selection unparalleled, the quality spectacular, and the customer service top notch. If you don’t see what you want, the superb staff will either find it for you or have it made. Pioneer was recognized as the Retailer of the Year by the National Bed and Bath Association in 1989 and won a Lifetime Achievement Award in 2004. Pioneer is still a family business with many long time employees.”
Fan, customers, and those interested in all that this incredible small business has to offer are encouraged to visit the Shine A Light small business profile on Pioneer Linens on September 24th to vote. The winning small business stands to win $10,000 in grant and market support.
