Business Leaders to Meet in Europe to Discuss Using Outsourcing to Rebuild Global Economy

IAOP European Outsourcing Summit to Be Held This Fall at Copenhagen Business School

/EIN News/ POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y., Aug. 31, 2009 – Several hundred business leaders will come together in Europe this fall to discuss using outsourcing to rebuild the global economy at The 2009 European Outsourcing Summit.

Produced by the International Association of Outsourcing Professionals(R) (IAOP(R)), in association with the Copenhagen Business School, the Summit will be held 15-16 October at the academic institution in Denmark.

The two-day program includes sessions focused on real-life case studies, strategies to move from crisis to recovery and new ideas for the new world. Speakers include executives from PROCURiSource, Vodafone The Netherlands, PricewaterhouseCoopers and LegoSystem A/S.

Delegates also will hear insights from experts from the London School of Economics and Political Science; Duke University, Fuqua School of Business; Copenhagen Business School and Carnegie Mellon University, as well as the Danish Trade Council.

The European-focused event is part of IAOP’s world-renowned Outsourcing World Summit(R) Conference Series, now in its 13th year, which is the industry’s leading global conference series for defining and shaping the future of outsourcing as a management practice.

“Companies will only succeed long-term if they have plans in place for when the world market improves,” said IAOP Chairman Michael Corbett. “The 2009 European Outsourcing Summit will focus on crucial outsourcing strategies that will enable companies to not just survive through the global economic crisis, but emerge as leaders.”

Among the critical strategies that companies participating in The 2009 European Outsourcing Summit, will learn are how to:

· Structure, negotiate and renegotiate outsourcing, shared services and global business operations that work during both crisis and recovery

· Create flexible, quickly-changeable business processes that can handle today’s levels of volatility

· Strengthen the organization’s global portfolio of capabilities and talent

· Establish relationship governance models to ensure that all parties — customers, providers and advisors — can work together to create shared success
