CHATSWORTH, Calif. – March 12, 2009 – Air Shunt Instruments, Inc. (Air Shunt), a leader in the repair and sale of avionics and electromechanical instrumentation, has received a large monetary payment of six figures from Air Instruments Specialists, Inc. in order to satisfy a judgment awarded to Air Shunt and against Air Instruments Specialists, Inc., Vartan Zhamkochyan and Levon Chakmakian.
Air Shunt filed a lawsuit against Air Instruments Specialists, Inc., Vartan Zhamkochyan and Levon “Alex” Chakmakian (both of whom were former employees of Air Shunt) in September of 2007 on the basis of fraud, misappropriation of trade secrets, breach of fiduciary duties, unfair competition, and breach of contract. Following nearly a year and a half of litigation, the defendants offered to have a monetary judgment awarded against them in order to end the lawsuit.
