HP has announced a new printing app that will work with your iPhone. The new printer promises to simplify printing while being wireless.
Announced on 22 December, 2008, the iPrint Photo application will give its main debut in CES 2009, which is two weeks away. You will be able to print 4 x 6 inches pictures with the free app. It could be used with the iPhone as well as the iPod Touch with an HP printer and a Wi-Fi network connection. Hence, it facilitates a one step printing process. However, the company has missed upon a certain features that could make the app even better than what it looks like at the present.
Especially if you think from a portable user’s perspective, you will find that it lacks in certain areas. First of all, the app allows you to print just one picture at one time. So you cannot expect to use your creativity in making some interesting combination. Secondly, if you have placed a command from any of the Apple portables, you cannot disturb it in between. This information mentioned on the company’s site also reveals that if there is an interruption in the wireless command, the process may be called off automatically.
Hence, the new HP app is not a complete solution for making the process hassle free but it can work well with a portable HP printer. If you are expecting this app to improve the picture quality of your iPhone images, you are actually asking for more.
