Microsoft and RSA plan to integrate data protection products betting on the fact that enterprises will need to protect sensitive information and be able to effectively control security issues by leveraging Windows 2008.

Existing products as well as future products will have Microsoft embedding RSA’s Data Loss Prevention’s data classification engine. DLP Suite 6.5 of RSA will also be integrated firmly with the Active Directory Rights Management Services of 2008 Windows Server. With the help of this, users can now have controlled access to various contents including documents, e-mails and intranet sites.
According to the Data Security Group, RSA’s Vice President, Products Tom Corn, the whole idea is to give protection for company’s data which is highly sensitive and a secure sharing environment. Our attempt is to actually build technologies into infrastructure not just integrate them he added.
