Mac vs PC war heats up with Apple’s latest ads

The war between Mac and PC heats up with Apple firing back through its two commercials which tweak the marketing strategies of Microsoft. Audiences are given time to ponder over couple of Mac versus PC ads in between kick offs released by Apple.

Poking fun at Microsoft’s recent efforts to redefine using ad campaigns countering Apple’s Mac vs PC ads that have helped increase sale of Mac to a great extent. These ads however are aimed more for the tech industry.

One of the ads features John Hodgman allocating two PC stacks of bills, one for fixing vista and the other towards advertising. There is nothing to guess about which pile receives more stacks.

Vista also features in the other ad which shows a buzzer developed by Hodgman which bleeps Vista every time the word is uttered to enable people to use the word Windows more instead of Vista.

What Apple is trying to do through these ads is to highlight the fact that vista is still a trouble ridden operating system and of course to get on the nerves of Steve Ballmer, CEO of Microsoft. Vista faced quite a few problems earlier including compatibility problem between the driver and application.

Microsoft however is not talking much about vista these days focusing their attention on Apple Tax and Windows 7, the stereotypes. Contrarily, Apple is consistently bringing focus back to Vista keeping it placed right under the line of fire. Apple as we have seen capitalized on people’s dissatisfaction with Microsoft’s vista.
