Financial crisis wipes out a family

Karthik Rajaram of Los Angeles decided to end the saga of his life by taking the life of his family of five and himself, which also included his mother in-law. He decided to end his life as he had insurmountable financial problems. He felt that it would be more prudent to take his family with him. Rajaram was only 45. He shot his wife, mother in law, three sons and then himself in a bid to escape from his problems.

His friends and colleagues claim to be unaware if his problems. Apparently he had been planning this for a long time as he had lost considerable sums in the crashing stock market.Mr Rajaram had a small holding company SKGL, which he had registered in 1999.He had also worked for Sony pictures in Los Angeles for a few years. After that he took up a job with Pricewaterhouse Coopers. He had been unemployed for the last several months. While working with Azur partners he had been fired after 10 years by Mr. Robinson for proving unreliable.

He had got into various business ventures too. Mr. Robinson says that if he knew he was in financial difficulties he would have helped him out.

Mr Karthik Rajaram’s three sons were well mannered and disciplined and doing well. The eldest was in his second year at the university of California studying Business and Economics.

He had drafted two suicide notes one for the police and another for his friends. He claimed to be broken man emotionally, financially and physically.
The alarm was raised when Mrs. Rajaram did not turn up for the car pool. Neighbors found the house quiet and the newspaper at the door. The police were called and the suicide and murders discovered
