Wendy’s®, one of the world’s most successful fast food hamburger restaurants, today announced that Wendy’s Restaurants of Canada is seeking franchisees to expand the brand throughout Quebec. The company has launched a new franchise recruitment initiative, Own your opportunity, which will create avenues for entrepreneurs in the province of Québec to grow and benefit by becoming a Wendy’s franchisee. The initiative creates expanded restaurant ownership opportunities for all and supports the company’s goal of increasing restaurant ownership in Quebec. |

To support this initiative, Wendy’s: |

· Establishing more competitive liquidity and asset requirements for all new franchise applicants. |
|
|
· Introduced a new global design standard for restaurants It’s less expensive to build, with innovative design elements to simplify operations and the latest technology working together to deliver better returns for franchisees. |

|
· Creation of a build-to-suit development fund to drive growth in underdeveloped commercial areas where Wendy’s secures and builds restaurants and turnskey locations over to franchisees. |

|
· More than 400 restaurants opened in Canada. With only 13 currently in Quebec, the market is ripe for opportunities for entrepreneurs to capitalize on. |

· Launch of Breakfast in Canada this May, creating tremendous growth potential for franchise owners. |
