Shehzad Roy, a Pakistani singer, shared a video of some kids on 11 August and requested for leads to find them.
After the video went viral, Indian actor Anupam Kher claimed they were Indians, which Roy swiftly and respectfully refuted.
Roy’s efforts paid off, and he was able to locate the kids, although many of them were no longer kids. The video was made ten years ago.
In a recent video, the singer stated that when he was a kid, he used to have a guitar without a distortion pedal. He had to get it from abroad, and he recalls how happy he was when he eventually got one.
“When I saw the video of the kids using plastic boxes to make music, which sounded great, I remembered that distortion pedal,” Roy said. He made it his goal to locate the children and give them musical instruments.“I discovered they were in Hunza and that the video was recorded ten years ago. They’re all older, but when we asked whether they had instruments, they answered no.”
Roy and a group of friends assembled the instruments and hired a rider to transport them to Hunza. He released a video compilation of the guys trying to recreate the original video, which he had asked. It also featured a picture of Josh Band founder Kashif Nawaz thanking Shehzad Roy for the instruments.
In a society filled with hatred and filth on social media platforms, it’s important to remember that the internet isn’t all that awful. The fact that the boys were located and given the musical instruments illustrates the power of social media and goodwill. We’re delighted Roy watched the video and was able to make several individuals extremely happy.
