Pakistan disperses the first shipment of 5,500 mobile sets produced by Inovi Telecom to the United States with a tag made in Pakistan. However, there is a lot of pressure on the local producers of smartphone devices as Pakistan is trying hard to compete with contestants in the Middle East region.
Pakistan Telecommunication Authority appreciated the firm for their efforts with the hope that their percentage of export will further increase. The administer further added that this success is due to the earnest efforts of the producers.
Inovi Telecom Pvt has completed its first export order within four months since it got consent for manufacturing mobile devices in April. The primary purpose is to provide smart devices at a reasonable price to the masses of the Middle East, including Iran, Iraq, and Afghanistan. Despite the sufferings arising from COVID-19, the Telecom sector has come out to be an essential contributor to Pakistan’s economy as its shares in the National treasury have risen high to 129% in 2020 as compared to 2019.
Chief Executive Zeeshan MianNoor added that high technology consumers of Gulf countries prefer top world-class smartphones companies, but we are not concerned about that field. We are fabricating Chinese brands, and there are plenty of foreign workers in Gulf countries. He said that our focal point is to target the primary consumers of Gulf countries while the masses of Iran, Afghanistan, and Iraq also select smart devices up to $100.
In an interview with the dawn, Syed Amin ul Haque said that Government policies helped the country achieve this milestone. This success has converted the status of Pakistan from a smart device importer to a foreign trader. The main reason for this success is that the higher authorities have tried hard to stop the illegal export devices through device identification registration and blocking system (DIRBS). The government has also provided a favorable environment to the local manufacturing smart devices company. In the following year, after the production of additional parts of smart devices, the manufacturers will also put efforts into producing and exporting the finest portable devices.
China is considered among the top exporters of mobile phones across the world with a number exceeding $140 bn, and they are also increasing job costs to facilitate their employers. Transmission Tecno Electronics CEO Amir Allahwala added that China is putting efforts into the export of high-end devices to the countries like Indonesia, Vietnam, Bangladesh, and India. He further added that due to the political conflicts in India, Chinese export is not achieving must success in the area. The employers of smart device companies in China, Indonesia, and Vietnam are receiving reasonable costs for their efforts.
Pakistan is also striving to be in the high-end position among the smartphone exporters across the world, but again this depends on favorable government policies. Now Pakistan is in close competition with Bangladesh looking towards the higher authorities for the country for their acceptable policies.
