With its premiere on July 22, FOX’s “Home Free” introduced a fresh take on the home-remodeling reality show that requires equally refreshing home-improvement products. When it comes to flooring choices, the TV show is equipping nine couples with Armstrong hardwood and laminate as they compete to revive a run-down residence each week and win a dream home of their own.
The premiere episode of “Home Free” featured Armstrong’s Heritage Classics hardwood collection in Maple – Antique Natural to add character to a spacious kitchen, while the second episode showed contestants installing the brand’s Midnight Maple laminate from the Premium collection to contrast white furniture and cool-gray accents in a basement. Future episodes will even highlight Armstrong’s Lock&Fold flooring, which eliminates the need for glue, nails or staples with its floating installation over an existing surface.
“Viewers of ‘Home Free’ will find a wealth of ideas for incorporating Armstrong flooring into their own remodeling projects thanks to the wide variety of colors, styles and materials used by contestants,” said Barry Greenberg, retail sales manager at A.J. With its eight-episode season running through Sept. 9, “Home Free” airs on Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET and is hosted by Mike Holmes, a professional contractor and creator of the popular TV series “Holmes on Homes,” “Holmes Inspection” and “Holmes Makes It Right.” While the nine contestant couples think they are fighting to avoid elimination each week, “Home Free” turns that reality-show convention on its head by giving the newly renovated home to the “eliminated” couple.
