Metro Retro Apparel, New York based menswear line specializing in ties and accessories, has debuted its fall 2012 collection. The young label, headed by Kamrul Hasan, comes into the new season with fresh designs to accommodate the coming autumn trends.
This season’s collection incorporates Hasan’s signature standard, which marries the craftsmanship of traditional English wool and tartan patterns with the presence of New York’s tempestuous variation that defines its fashion culture. As with past collections, the fall line-up will find its home in the principle of breathing vitality into the non-traditional usage of the tie, pocket square and pocket circles. Upholding the Metro Retro vision of reshaping the options in men’s accessories, they smoothly transition into the cooler autumn season that in itself widens creative range in the realm of design.
“I love centering my designs on fall trends,” said Hasan about the new collection, “The simple basis of our needing to wear more clothes this time of year helps me create so many new ideas, it’s almost hard to keep up with our own fashion needs” he said. “Every piece looks great in the ‘three-piece’ but I like my pieces to be worn with any outfit, so I love when nature forces that ‘sense of adventure,’ when it comes to building our look every morning.”
Metro Retro Apparel has been garnering buzz among the media as of late for their their cool yet sophisticated accessories. Metro Retro Apparel is an independent men’s label based out of New York City. The company began in the summer of 2009 with a few wool, cotton and narrow ties. Since its inception they have evolved into other traditions of men’s accessories such as bow ties, pocket circles and scarves. They are best known for their own signature design of the pocket circle. All of their neckwear is designed, produced and distributed out of New York City.
