Lions, tigers and bears.

Add to that sharks, cobras, crocodiles, jaguars, killer whales, wolves and elephants. At this point you have a pretty good idea of the kind of wild creatures that endlessly fascinate and inspire Extreme Wildlife Radio hosts Chester Moore and Terri Werner.

“I’m a wildlife extremist which means my interest leans toward creatures that are dangerous, large and mysterious. Terri and I put together this program to celebrate the most exciting representatives of the animal kingdom,” said award-winning author/lecturer/conservationist Chester Moore.

Moore who has authored a dozen books, serves as Executive Editor of Texas Fish & Game magazine, has published more than 4,000 articles since 1992 and was named a “Hero of Conservation” by Field & Stream magazine has hosted his own radio program, “Moore Outdoors” on Newstalk AM 560 KLVI for 13 years.

“Terri and I met six years ago and she became a regular guest on my show. We figured we might as well take our on-air chemistry onto the Web as we both had an interest in Web radio,” Moore said.

Known for starring in Animal Planet’s “Growing up Tiger”, Werner is facility director for Tiger Creek Wildlife Refuge and is excited about reaching out to others with an interest in wildlife.

“We’re so excited about this new Web radio show. We want to give the truth about wildlife and hide nothing. This is about the most extreme creatures in the animal kingdom and we will bring the top experts in the field and address all of the key issues,” Werner said.

Moore said sharks, snakes and big cats reach across demographic lines and are a big draw for youth.

“You see I am still very much the little boy that looked at the Gulf of Mexico off the 61st St. Pier in Galveston, TX and was blown away at the possibilities of what might be lurking out in the deep. God’s amazing Creation brings out the kid in everyone,” Moore said.

The program airs every other Tuesday at 8 p.m. CST on Blog Talk Radio with on-demand podcasts of each program archived and available 24-7.

“We debuted the show July 17 and have already had on bear expert Casey Anderson from National Geographic, did a really unique program on king cobras and hosted a biologist with the National Wildlife Federation talk about the return of the gray wolf. Coming up we have shows on alligator garfish and polar bears scheduled. It’s all over the map but it centers on the extremes of the animal kingdoms. In other words it’s the fun stuff,” Werner said.
