NETtime Solutions, creators of the leading web-based SaaS time & attendance solution and the NETOne Clock, have set out to uncover the trends behind today’s hiring practices in the United States. By launching a survey open to social media connections and the general public, NETtime will collect data to help employers and employees better understand the motive behind employment trends.
Asking participants “Who would you hire?”, NETtime will uncover if today’s top employers lean towards maturity/experience, recent graduates or have no preference. Diving further into motives behind these surface answers, the survey will then determine why employers feel this way. Those who participate in the survey (found here) will be entered to win a $25 Starbucks gift card as a thank you for their time.
As baby boomers are staying in the work force longer due to the recession and a need for income, lack of pension or desire for benefits, they are competing directly with other generations for positions in the workplace. While it is against the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA) to discriminate against a potential job candidate or current employee due to their age, the new NETtime survey seeks only to collect data on hiring motives – not illegal discrimination factors.
Data will be collected through the end of May in this “Who would you hire” initiative. Once the poll is closed, helpful human resource information will be compiled into a series of graphs and charts that will be posted to the SaaS time & attendance solution company’s Facebook page, http://www.Facebook.com/NETtime.
NETime has helped companies maintain compliance with labor laws, increase efficiency and reduce costs through their SaaS time & attendance solution since 2000.
