While the report reveals a reduction in red-light running crashes and changes in driver behavior, it also fails to mention that other studies indicated a rise in rear-end collisions as a result of the cameras in other states. The cameras have proven to have mixed results, but the overall goal to reduce red-light running collisions seem to be working, explains the Sulphur Springs accident attorney. More studies need to be done to determine their overall safety and crash reduction effectiveness.
