A fresh-cut Christmas tree is a staple of the holidays, but if you’re not careful you could create a hazardous situation that can result in a home fire. Failing to keep your tree watered, which will keep the needles from drying out, and using LED lights can help prevent the threat of a fire. In addition, unplugging your Christmas tree lights when you are not home will also help keep a dry tree from sparking when you’re not there to monitor it, explains Tyler personal injury lawyer Gregg Price.
