Study: More than 1 million U.S. teens have battled an eating disorder

According to government research, over a half a million U.S. teens have had an eating disorder but few have sought treatment for the problem

03/08/2011 // Greensboro, NC, USA // Personal Injury Lawyers News // Nicole Howley

“Binge-eating disorder was the most common, affecting more than 1.5% of kids studied. Just under 1% had experienced bulimia, and 0.3% had had anorexia. Overall, 3% had a lifetime prevalence of one of the disorders. Another 3% of kids questioned had troubling symptoms but not full-fledged eating disorders,” reported USA Today. This is really sad and troubling to see statistics like this. I think our society and obsession with being thin is really taking a toll on the youth.
