Annapollis, MD – Maryland State Police are searching for the driver of a hit-and-run vehicle believed to have struck a highway worker on Route 50 just before 1 a.m., Thursday, June 3, 2010, as reported by WBALTV.com. The worker was killed as a result of the hit.
The victim was identified as 52-year-old Ghassen A. Sabra of Goldsboro, NC. He worked for Sabra, Wang and Associates, Inc., of Halethorpe, MD. The company is under contract with the Maryland State Highway Administration to conduct traffic surveys.

Police are asking anyone who knows about the incident to contact them at (410) 761-5130.
Police will not charge the driver of the tractor-trailer.
Police reported the eastbound lanes of Route 50 were reopened just before 7 a.m.
