Google introduces Dream – Pure Web 3.0 in a Phone!

The chant seems to be ‘Google Google everywhere…” Now it has brought itself into the new cellular powerhouse with a bang. The new smartphone “Dream’ from T-Mobile powered by the new software Android from Google.

It is a Research in Motions Blackberry and the Apple iPhone’s blend. It has the ideal blend of the best from both the well known companies. The phone will most probably be launched in late October though it will be formally announced on September 23.. Despite the problems which most cellular companies are facing the T-Mobile seems to be keeping its deadlines.

According to the WSJ, “The phone’s manufacturer, HTC Corp., forecasts sales that are rosier than analysts’ estimates. HTC says it expects to ship 600,000 to 700,000 units of the smart phone, dubbed the Dream, this year, a person close to the situation said Monday. The target exceeds analysts’ estimates of 300,000 to 500,000.”

The target audience is the same as for the iPhone. Comparisons are odious but they are made all the time and in this comparisons game it is found that it is heavier and is said to have a toting “a large touch screen, a swivel-out full keyboard and a Blackberry-style trackball to help with navigation.”

This is a joint venture by Google and T-Mobile USA. It is an attempt to enhance its network and provide third generation broadband services just as the Apple iPhone has done before it
