The Faulty Internet Explorer 8 Beta 2

The Beta 2 version of the Internet Explorer 8 released by the top notch computer organization Microsoft is being criticized for a number of serious blunders. However the Beta versions of any software are generally not free of blemishes and initial hiccups. This IE 8 Beta 2 version of the Internet Explorer 8 by the Microsoft giant seems to have crossed the limits of failure and has invited a barrage of criticism and this is due to the problems within the services of Microsoft.

Users who are trying out this new version of IE on a Windows XP SP3(service pack) machine cannot revert back to the IE7 unless they uninstall the service pack and depending upon the type of Windows (32 bit or 64 bit) installed the user has to perform some additional operations in order to install or uninstall the browser. For instance, in order to install IE 8 Beta 2 on a Windows Vista machine it is mandatory to install the SP1.This makes it very cumbersome for the users.

Besides the issues with the installation and removal of the browser there are problems in other areas also such as ClearType, exiting Hotmail and using the search option. This adds to the woes of the users. The most embarrassing flaw of the browser is that it is not at all compatible with the Live Meeting (both the Web based and Client download version).
