Real Estate Forum Bestows Hall of Fame Designation

DALLAS, TX (August 25, 2015) – Ann Hambly, founder and CEO of Texas-based 1st Service Solutions, has been named one of the 2015 Commercial Real Estate Forum’s “Women of Influence” for the second time in three years. The prestigious award is presented to esteemed professionals who define leadership, innovation and success in the field of commercial real estate. She was also inducted into their prestigious Hall of Fame, one of 18 female real estate professionals ever to be given this distinction.

“I am truly honored to have been selected as a ‘Woman of Influence’ by the editorial board at Commercial Real Estate Forum,” stated Hambly. “It really humbles me to have been selected for an award that means so much to me personally, as well as professionally.”

Over 350 candidates were considered for the 22nd Annual Women of Influence issue of the magazine, which hits newsstands in early August. Because this is Ann Hambly’s second nomination and win, she is now inducted and enshrined in the Real Estate Forum Hall of Fame of women professionals.

Hambly’s commercial real estate career spans over three decades and includes leadership stints at some of the most prestigious firms in the industry including Nomura, Prudential and Bank of America. In 2003 she served as the first woman chair of the commercial board of the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA). In her role as CEO of Prudential’s servicing company, she had a birds-eye view of the common frustrations borrowers experienced when they had a commercial mortgage backed security (CMBS) loan. Feeling a compassion for the borrowers and knowing she could help, she launched her own company, 1st Service Solutions 10 years ago to serve this specific need and literally created the borrower advocacy space. To date, the successful firm has resolved over $15 billion in CMBS loans on behalf of borrowers.

In accepting the 2015 Commercial Real Estate Forum’s “Woman of Influence” award, Ann reflects on the meaningful nature of this honor by stating, “In the commercial real estate world, I have always felt comfortable and even encouraged in my role as a woman-owned business. Perhaps one of my greatest accomplishments will be inspiring young women to emulate the success I’ve been fortunate enough to experience.”
