Recent redesigns and a new 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V6 engine led to an impressive 24 percent year-over-year sales increase for Ram pickup trucks in 2014, but despite that popularity, many dedicated brand enthusiasts were left clamoring for an off-road-ready trim. Their wait is almost over, however, with the new 2015 Ram 1500 Rebel slated to arrive at dealerships this month.
Enabled by a 1-inch factory 1ift of its advanced air suspension, the 2015 Ram 1500 Rebel boasts standard 33-inch Toyo Open Country A/T tires and a best-in-class 10.3-inch ground clearance for traversing over large rocks and stumps. Meanwhile, a powder-coated billet-silver skid plate, front tow hooks and new LED fog lamps add to the truck’s durability and versatility. Stylistically, the new Ram 1500 Rebel conveys its rugged capability with a blacked-out Rebel grille, a black front bumper with a tough power-coated surface and all-new 17-inch aluminum wheels.

While the cabin of the Ram 1500 Rebel carries over the truck’s bold design theme with fabric seating inserts that mimic the tread of the Toyo tires, drivers will enjoy standard amenities like heated Radar Red and Black front seats and a heated, leather-wrapped steering wheel with Radar Red X-stitch accents. The center console is finished in Iron Gray Metallic paint and has been redesigned to improve the accessibility and storage of mobile devices. For easier connectivity both on- and off-road, buyers can also opt for the 8.4-inch Uconnect touchscreen infotainment system, which displays a unique Rebel-themed background.
