Bangkok, Thailand– The Royal Thai Army Chief Udomdech Sitabuth ordered the Royal Thai Army institutions of all provinces in Thailand sending the soldiers to set the Public Service Center over Songkran Festival 2015. There are 243 Public Service centers on the main roads such as Phaholyothin Rd., Mittraphap Highway, Petchkasem Rd. and other routes that tourists usually visit. The soldiers will start operating from 9th – 16th +of April 2015. According to the Royal Thai Army deputy spokesman Sirichan Ngathong the purpose of these operation is to reduce the road accidents and facilitate the traffic for the public.
The Public Service Centers for this Songkran Festival will be facilitated 24/7 by the soldiers and the officers. The officers will coordinated for the assistance together with the government and private sectors in the area of responsibility. They will provide full assistance and public service such as the route inspection, car checkings, drinking water services and the First Aid teams.
For the Thailand’s border areas where the people through – out on checkpoints,the Royal Thai Army’s Border troops will increase the search measures to prevent the illegal smuggling or drug through – out. But the soldiers will be careful not to affect the tourism and the travellers. In some border crossing areas where celebration organized to neighboring countries, the soldiers will provide care for the full safety of the people.
The Royal Thai Army deputy spokesman Sirichan Ngathong said the Royal Thai Army send my best wishes to all citizens.He added “ we would like you to spend time with your families to celebrate the Thailand’s new year and visit the senoir relatives over the festival this year with happiness and safety.
