Floor & Decor, the lowest-priced specialty retailer in the hard surface flooring market with 35 stores in 16 metro markets, is making a huge entrance into Richmond’s pro flooring market.
Floor & Decor is offering its first-ever line of unfinished wood products in the new store, located at 5432 Glenside Drive, Richmond, VA 23228. Floor & Decor has also hired local contractor favorite, Eric Goin, to work as the Pro Sales Manager.
Many contractors prefer to use unfinished wood for new construction and large remodeling projects. According to Josh Moore, Chief Executive Merchant of the new Floor & Decor in Richmond, contractors gravitate to these products for a number of reasons. “Unfinished floors do not show the occasional tool or boot scuff or scratch that happens during construction,” says Moore. “Site-finished wood floor projects also offer a greater variety of choices with respect to shade and color for customers. Contractors also know that customers prefer the flush look of site-sanded floors, because there are no visible grooves and can be finished to a completely smooth finish.”
Floor & Decor is also proud to announce that they have hired Eric Goin as the Pro Sales Manager. Eric has served the flooring installers in the Richmond area for over 20 years. Eric previously worked for the largest/oldest family owned flooring store in Richmond. Now, Eric is serving as the Pro Sales Manager for Floor & Decor. According to Goin, “I am looking forward to serving the Pro Customers in my new role, and I am committed to fulfilling the flooring needs of the Richmond contractor community”.
Floor & Decor is excited to open in Richmond. The grand opening is planned for Thursday, August 15, 2013, with a planned appearance by football legend Joe Theisman on Saturday, August 17, 2013 from Noon – 2:00PM.
