08/08/2012 (press release: Gowit) // Seattle, WA, United States // Daniel Pasos
Most people fail to achieve their goals because they don’t stick to a plan. Gowit keeps people on track by making them accountable to themselves and by transforming it into a friendly effort. To set up a goal, users record a message and select two of their best friends to become their supporters.
When it’s time to work on their goal, users check-in by uploading a comment and a picture of that session. If they skip a check-in they’ll get a phone call from themselves and their backers are notified. Friends can leave a message on the user’s journal to encourage them to get back to it, and to avoid procrastination, if they skip 5 check-ins it’s game over.
Users can try Gowit for free by taking a pledge to achieve one of their goals.
