Dillard’s agreed to pay $2 million to settle a lawsuit accusing them of violating the ADA by requiring workers to reveal specific medical information in doctor’s notes for excused absences. Employees should never be bullied into revealing private medical information for fear of losing their jobs. Most importantly Dillard’s has agreed to revise their nationwide employment policy, which could be embarrassing for those suffering from cancer or mental illness, said LA employment lawyer Eric Grover.
