Al Lehman, President and CEO of 3D-P announced today that Mal Jones, 3D-P’s Manager for the Asia Pacific Region, has been promoted to VP and General Manager of 3D-P Australia.
“Mal Jones has been with 3D-P and has been demonstrating excellent leadership skills since the company began Australian operations in 2009,” said Mr. Lehman. “Due to the continued growth of the region and as a step toward establishing an Australian entity, Mal will oversee operations and will be opening our Australian headquarters in the near future.”
In the past year, 3D-P has solidified the company’s commitment to customer service excellence in the Australian and Asian markets by the hiring of uniquely qualified sales and support personnel. “Mal has been an exception sales manager for the Asia Pacific region,” said Sean McClary, Global VP of Sales and Marketing. “He has certainly earned this promotion, and we look forward to the continued growth of 3D-P in Australia and Asia.”
Prior to joining 3D-P, Mal Jones was a Senior Communications consultant. For 12 years, he designed and implemented mission critical applications and telecommunications solutions for offshore Oil and Gas exploration and production systems. For seven years, Mal focused on mining specific assignments, delivering high speed data network solutions for heavy mobile equipment. He has been the lead consultant for major mining houses such as BHP Billiton, Rio Tinto, Xstrata, and Newmont, delivering key technology architecture documents used by the organizations for standardization of technologies and design principals across the organizations.
