Cleveland.com did a great job uncovering the truth on how arbitration clauses strip consumers of their rights. Arbitration agreements protect businesses by isolating consumers by barring class action lawsuits and mandating that they enter arbitration, says Carey Been, an LA consumer protection lawyer. Consumers can fight back against the fallout from the Supreme Court’s Concepcion decision by urging their candidates to support the Arbitration Fairness Act, which would end forced arbitration.
