LowVig.com Offers Reduced Juice Lines on Upcoming NCAA Openers

/EINPresswire.com/ With the Onset of the College Football Season Rapidly Approaching, America’s Most Popular Reduced Juice Sportsbook, LowVig.com is Offering Lines as low as -105 Each Way on the First Games of the Week.

The NCAA College Football season begins this coming Thursday and excitement is rapidly building as fans scramble to make their picks for the first eight season openers. While most major online sportsbooks have the bulk of these games listed at -110, LowVig.com, a popular reduced juice betting site, has most of the spreads listed at -105 and all the game totals priced at -108 each way.

LowVig.com has earned popularity among sports bettors, due chiefly to its less than traditional approach to odds making. By forgoing costly advertising in favor of more reasonably priced lines, LowVig has been able to earn the loyalty and respect of players who value savings over glitz.

Seasoned handicappers and sports betting enthusiasts are well aware that a reduced juice line can have a major impact on their bottom line. With a standard 20 cent football cent line (-110 odds), a player must risk $110 for every 100 he wants to win. This means that even if a player makes several wagers, he must achieve 11 wins for every 10 losses in order to break even. The breakeven point for a -110 line is 52.38%; however, at -105 juice, the breakeven point is a substantially lower – only 51.22%.

In practical terms, this means that players who bet games at a lower than average price stand to make more of a profit than those who bet a standard line. For example, if a person were to wager $200 each on 25 of this week’s NCAA openers at -110, and if 13 of those picks were winners, he would lose $40. On the other hand, if that person placed those same bets at LowVig at -105, he’d be up $80.

As a result of the site’s reduced juice odds, LowVig has been taking a great deal of action on the first 8 games of the season, which kicks off with South Carolina at Vanderbilt at 7:00 p.m. EST. LowVig’s line on that game is South Carolina -6½ (-105). Vanderbilt plus the points is also priced at -105.

Nowhere is the excitement surrounding this SEC opener more evident than in Nashville, where Commodores fans, players and faculty alike are riled up for what is sure to be an exciting event. In a press conference yesterday, Vanderbilt head coach James Franklin had this to say:

“I’m very excited for the game, obviously, and the environment I think we’re going to have Thursday. I know our kids are excited, not really because of who we’re playing or that it’s on national television but just because we’ve been working really hard since last year.”

Vandy finished the season 6 -7 overall last year with a dismal SEC record of only 2-6. One of their main challenges during Thursday’s game will be to stop Marcus Lattimore, who rushed 818 yards for the Gamecocks in only seven games last year. Lattimore averaged 5 yards per carry last season, managing to rack up 163 carries for a total of 10 touchdowns, (not counting a 52 yard touchdown reception against Vanderbilt), before tearing his ACL against the Bulldogs. According to South Carolina head coach Steve Spurrier, who fielded questions regarding Thursday’s game during a press conference yesterday, Lattimore is “…ready to carry 25 or 30 times.”

The Commodores have their own offensive weapon in Zac Stacey, who broke 2 of Vandy’s single-season records in 2011, managing 1193 rushing yards and 14 rushing touchdowns. His outstanding performance earned him the team’s postseason Most Valuable Offensive Player Award.

Stacey and his teammates will have a chance to prove their skills against a defense that was ranked 3rd in the nation last fall. Lorenzo Ward recently took over for Ellis Johnson as South Carolina’s defensive coordinator, and while that could prove to be a chink in the Gamecock’s armor, the Commodores certainly have their work cut out for them against a team that went 11-2 last year and is currently ranked #9 in the nation in every major poll.
