Nicoll Curtin, one of the UK’s leading international IT recruitment agencies, has branched out into the world of smartphones by launching a new mobile-friendly site.

The website, which can be used to browse information, search jobs and apply for jobs quickly and easily via all smartphones; has been in development and Nicoll Curtin has revealed it to the public.

According to technology research company Gartner, predictions show that, come 2015, mobile application development projects targeting smartphones and tablets will outnumber native PC projects by a ratio of 4-to-1. Statistics show that the trend for mobile and smartphone usage is moving in an upward trajectory and is set to continue, and Nicoll Curtin has been quick to jump on the bandwagon.

Lawrence Hargeaves, Nicoll Curtin’s Managing Director, said: “It is evident the adoption of smartphones and tablets will continue and we think it is particularly crucial that we can offer our IT-centric candidates who may be travelling to work, or between interviews, the ease of being able to apply for jobs on the move.”

The content on the Nicoll Curtin website has been condensed to be easily accessible, allowing quick and convenient access with smartphones. Nicoll Curtin’s main aim was to improve the user experience to give access to the basic essentials of site usage and navigation. Candidates can also receive notifications sent by email which can be accessed via their mobile phones.

Nicoll Curtin is able to provide London, Singapore, Zurich jobs and focuses on a number of different IT roles, such as those in the banking, finance, commercial and public sectors. The recruitment agency has been in operation since 1999 and has received many accolades along the way – most recently it won the Best IT Recruitment Agency prize at The Recruiter Awards 2012, which is one of the most prestigious awards in the industry.
