Toronto Boat Hotel Re-Opens May 2012

Toronto’s only floating hotel provides a nautical escape for business and leisure travellers

/EINPresswire.com/Toronto’s only Boatel – Boat Hotel – announced it will re-open early on May 8th for the 2012 season. The Boatel provides a unique alternative waterfront accommodation in Toronto for tourists and business travellers visiting Canada’s largest city. Guests have the opportunity to stay aboard the 65-foot custom private motor yacht moored in the heart of Toronto’s vibrant Harbourfront.

With easy access to the business and financial districts, the Boatel is ideal for executive business travellers needing to host business meetings for small group of 2 to 6 people. Rather than booking an offsite meeting room, guests staying at the floating waterfront hotel are able to entertain clients aboard the private yacht in a relaxed and creative environment.

For leisure travelers like Joanne Mankins from Michigan “the Boatel is an extremely creative concept and an outstanding experience. The location in Toronto is perfect”, states Mankins. “If you are going to see baseball or other events in the Rogers Centre, the CN tower, shopping, harbor events, the location couldn’t be better or more unique. Evenings on the water at the Boatel are stunning, and there is something about being on the water that melts the stress away.”

For $500 per night travelers can book the whole boat or book one, two or all three rooms and enjoy full access to the Boatel’s amenities which include wifi access, full breakfast, large salon, upper and lower decks and personal concierge service. Guests are gently rocked to sleep in comfortable beds aboard the dockside floating hotel and awaken to a gourmet breakfast served on the boat’s aft deck. The Boatel’s layout enables guests to enjoy a morning coffee on the bow overlooking Toronto’s islands or relax on the upper sky lounge in the evening for a spectacular view of the city.

Parking is available across the street, however because of the proximity to the Toronto Island Airport, and easy access to all the downtown attractions including the Rogers Centre and the CN Tower, a car is really not needed. “Our guests love the fact that they can walk, bike or take a streetcar and don’t need to drive anywhere.” says Boatel owner Diane Greene.

Moored at 375 Queen’s Quay West for the summer, the Boatel operates the only Bed and Breakfast in Toronto seasonally from May until September 30th. The floating hotel does not do charters or harbour tours but rather remains at dockside at all times. Charters however can be arranged through one of the tour operators.
